  1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Duke University Health System with a warm and professional demeanor.
  2. Conduct patient check-ins and check-outs, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary copays or fees.
  3. Schedule appointments and maintain accurate and organized patient records.
  4. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  6. Assist with patient registration and admissions processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including waiting areas and patient rooms.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and staff to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
  9. Provide information and resources to patients regarding services, policies, and procedures.
  10. Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with discretion and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
