- Conducting high-quality ophthalmic photography sessions for patients, including capturing images of the eye and surrounding structures.
- Collaborating with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely capture of images for diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintaining and organizing equipment, including cameras, lenses, and other related tools, to ensure optimal functionality and image quality.
- Adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Conducting patient assessments and providing education on the ophthalmic photography process, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all procedures, including patient information, equipment settings, and image capture details.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements and techniques in ophthalmic photography and incorporating them into daily practice.
- Participating in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and consistency of images and procedures.
- Providing exceptional patient care by creating a comfortable and welcoming environment and addressing any patient needs or concerns.
- Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and stay current with industry standards.
- Upholding the ethical and professional standards of Duke University Health System at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Photography, Medical Imaging, Or Related Field.
Certification From The Ophthalmic Photographers' Society (Ops) Or Equivalent.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Ophthalmic Photography, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Ophthalmic Equipment And Imaging Techniques, Such As Fundus Photography, Fluorescein Angiography, And Optical Coherence Tomography.
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Ophthalmologists, Technicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
