- Administering Anesthesia: The CRNA will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients prior to surgery or medical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: A Crna At Duke University Health System Must Possess A Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Current Rn License: Candidates Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of North Carolina Or Be Eligible To Obtain One.
Advanced Practice Nursing Degree: Applicants Must Have A Master Of Science In Nursing (Msn) Or Doctor Of Nursing Practice (Dnp) Degree With A Specialization In Anesthesia.
National Certification: Candidates Must Hold Current Certification From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna).
Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of Two Years Of Full-Time Experience As A Registered Nurse In An Acute Care Setting Is Required. Additionally, Previous Experience In An Anesthesia-Related Field Is Preferred.
