
Neurovascular Sonographer
Duke University Health System is looking for an experienced and passionate Neurovascular Sonographer to join our healthcare team. Our ideal candidate should have a background in diagnostic sonography and be knowledgeable in the principles and practices of neurovascular imaging. The Neurovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing and interpreting sonographic studies of the head, neck, and vascular system to produce diagnostic quality images and reports. This position requires excellent communication and customer service skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The successful candidate should have an Associate's degree in sonography, RDMS certification in Neurosonography, and at least one year of experience in neurosonography. Additionally, knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to neurovascular imaging is essential. Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret sonographic studies of the head, neck, and vascular system to produce diagnostic quality images and reports.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to neurovascular imaging.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient care.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of data.
- Participate in educational, research and quality improvement activities.
- Exhibit sound judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with other health care professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Follow established policies and procedures governing the operation of the department.
Ability To Follow Safety Protocols
Current Cpr Certification
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) In Neurosonography
Certified Vascular Technologist (Rvt) Or Registered Vascular Technologist (Rvt)
Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In Neurovascular Sonography
Knowledge Of Neurovascular Anatomy And Physiology
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills
Ability To Work Independently.
