  1. Perform electroencephalogram (EEG) tests on patients according to established protocols and standards.
  2. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
  3. Monitor patients during procedures and make adjustments as needed to ensure accurate and quality results.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, patient information, and any relevant data.
  5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results and assist with diagnosis and treatment plans.
  6. Keep abreast of current industry trends and advancements in neurodiagnostic techniques and equipment.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and supplies.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Provide excellent patient care and ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for patients during procedures.
  10. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  11. Act as a resource for other team members and offer guidance and assistance as needed.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Neurodiagnostics Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Neuroscience And Diagnostic Techniques Is Essential For A Neurodiagnostic Technician - Eeg Position At Duke University Health System.

  • Certification In Eeg By The American Board Of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (Abret): This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met Nationally Recognized Standards For Competency In Eeg Technology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Eeg Technology: Duke University Health System Requires Candidates To Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Conducting Eeg Tests And Interpreting Results.

  • Knowledge Of Advanced Eeg Equipment And Software: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Operating And Troubleshooting Various Eeg Equipment And Software Used At Duke University Health System.
