As a Mobility Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the mobility and safety of our patients, using your expertise and compassion to help them navigate their physical limitations.   1. Provide excellent customer service by warmly welcoming patients and assisting them with their mobility needs in a compassionate and respectful manner.
  2. Operate and maintain various types of mobility equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches, ensuring they are clean, safe, and functional.
  3. Properly assess patients' mobility needs and limitations, and recommend appropriate equipment and techniques to improve their mobility and safety.
  4. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to determine the most effective treatment plans for patients with mobility issues.
  5. Educate patients and their families on proper use of mobility equipment and techniques, as well as safety precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
  6. Monitor and document patients' progress and any changes in their mobility status, and communicate this information to the healthcare team.
  7. Respond promptly to requests for assistance from patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Keep inventory of mobility equipment and supplies, and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be reordered.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in mobility equipment and techniques.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the healthcare team.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to mobility services, and make recommendations for enhancements as needed.
  14. Handle any patient concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner, escalating to the appropriate personnel if necessary.
  15. Act as a role model for other staff members by demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service.

  • Physical Strength And Stamina: This Job Can Be Physically Demanding, As Mobility Technicians Often Need To Lift And Maneuver Heavy Equipment And Work With Patients Who May Have Limited Mobility. Therefore, Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks Safely.
