
Medical Records Coder - Inpatient

Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical records and accurately code them in accordance with established coding guidelines and regulations.
- Utilize coding software to ensure accuracy of coding.
- Maintain knowledge of current coding regulations and updates.
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and other healthcare staff.
- Maintain organization of medical records and documents.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all coding.
- Assist with medical record audits as needed.
- Provide support and assistance to other departments in the organization as required.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Certified Coding Specialist (Ccs) Or Certified Professional Coder (Cpc) Certification
Two Years Of Long-Term Acute Care Or Inpatient Hospital Coding Experience
Knowledge Of Icd--Cm/Pcs Coding
Anatomy And Physiology
Ability To Apply Coding Guidelines To Appropriate Diagnoses And Procedures
Knowledge Of Medical Coding Software And Computer Applications
