
Medical Lab Scientist Specialist - Immunology
Duke University Health System is seeking an experienced Medical Lab Scientist Specialist - Immunology to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests to support the diagnosis of diseases and conditions in the Immunology Lab. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures, as well as experience in the Immunology field. If you are a highly motivated professional with a passion for providing top quality patient care, then we want to hear from you!The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field. Additional qualifications include ASCP certification or other relevant laboratory certifications, experience with standard laboratory equipment including microscopes, centrifuges, and spectrophotometers, and a strong understanding of laboratory safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests to support the diagnosis of diseases and conditions in the Immunology Lab.
- Monitor and ensure quality control of laboratory equipment, supplies, and results.
- Maintain a safe and secure laboratory environment.
- Follow laboratory safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory test results.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Analyze laboratory test results and report findings in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and best practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals in order to provide the best care for patients.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field
Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist
Previous Experience In Immunology
Knowledge Of Immunology Laboratory Techniques And Instrumentation
Ability To Maintain Records And Use Computer Systems For Data Analysis
Ability To Work Independently Or In A Team Environment
Ability To Interpret And Analyze Laboratory Results.
