- Perform mammography procedures with accuracy and precision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a high standard of image quality by properly positioning patients and adjusting equipment settings as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate patient reactions and vital signs during mammography exams, and take appropriate action if necessary.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mammography equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety at all times, providing emotional support and reassurance as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including radiologists and nurses, to provide comprehensive and timely care to patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all mammography procedures, including patient information, exam results, and any necessary follow-up.
- Stay current with advancements and changes in mammography technology, techniques, and protocols through continuing education and training opportunities.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of mammography services.

Arrt Certification In Mammography: The Candidate Must Be A Registered Technologist With The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) And Have Specific Certification In Mammography.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Current State License As A Radiologic Technologist And Be Able To Practice In The State Of North Carolina.
Minimum Education Requirement: The Candidate Must Have Completed A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Institution.
Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Mammography Technologist Is Required. This Experience Should Include Both Digital And Film Mammography.
Continuing Education: The Candidate Must Be Committed To Continuing Education And Staying Current With Advancements And Changes In The Field Of Mammography. This May Include Attending Conferences, Workshops, And Completing Relevant Online Courses.
