Our Lung Transplant Nurse Practitioner will be a leader in our health system, providing compassionate and knowledgeable care to our patients and their families.To be considered for this role, applicants should possess a Master's degree in Nursing or a related field and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of North Carolina. Current knowledge of national and state standards for lung transplant care is a must. The ideal candidate will also have at least two years of experience in a lung transplant setting as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.We look forward to meeting the person who will fill this important role and contribute to the success of Duke University Health System.
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and knowledgeable care to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with national and state standards for lung transplant care
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide outstanding patient care
- Develop and implement plans of care for patients undergoing lung transplantation
- Assist with the development of new procedures and protocols to advance lung transplant care
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care as necessary
- Educate patients and families on post-transplant lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in research and other professional development activities related to lung transplant care
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills

Master's Degree In Nursing
National Certification As A Nurse Practitioner
Prior Experience In Lung Transplant Or Critical Care Nursing
