Dietetic Technician- Milk/Formula Lab

At Duke University Health System, we are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as a Dietetic Technician for the Milk/Formula Lab. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about providing the highest quality of care to patients, is detail-oriented, and is a team player. The Dietetic Technician for the Milk/Formula Lab will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation, storage, and delivery of milk and formula. This is a full-time position and requires the following qualifications: Associate’s degree in Dietetics; Registered Dietetic Technician (RDN) certification; and a minimum of one year of experience or equivalent education in a clinical or food service nutrition setting.

Responsibilities of the Dietetic Technician for the Milk/Formula Lab:

1. Prepare and store milk and formula according to health and safety regulations
2. Deliver milk and formula to patients in a timely, efficient, and hygienic manner
3. Educate patients and their families on the nutritional value of milk and formula
4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of milk and formula preparation and delivery
5. Monitor inventory of milk and formula and place orders for replenishment when necessary
6. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for patients
7. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are maintained and stored in a safe and orderly manner
8. Adhere to applicable regulations and standards of practice for the healthcare industry.
