  1. Assist healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care by following established protocols and procedures.
  2. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff by adhering to infection control guidelines and proper handling of equipment and supplies.
  3. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective patient flow and timely completion of tasks.
  4. Accurately document patient information and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing compassionate and empathetic support.
  6. Perform basic medical procedures, including vital sign measurements, specimen collection, and electrocardiograms, under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  7. Maintain inventory of medical supplies and restock as needed.
  8. Attend trainings and educational opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.
  9. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Duke University Health System.
  10. Provide support in emergency situations as directed by healthcare professionals.
  11. Demonstrate professionalism and respect towards patients, colleagues, and visitors at all times.
  12. Seek opportunities for improvement and actively participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Uphold the mission and values of Duke University Health System.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement To Be Considered For The Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Medical Office Or Hospital, Is Desired For This Role.

  • Basic Medical Knowledge: A Basic Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures And Equipment Is Required To Be Successful In This Position.
