  1. Provide exceptional patient care by reviewing and dispensing medication orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed therapies.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement medication therapy plans that optimize patient outcomes.
  3. Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions, duplications, and adverse reactions.
  4. Monitor and assess patient response to medication therapy, making necessary adjustments and recommendations as needed.
  5. Stay updated on current pharmacy practices and trends, and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  6. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and provide expert knowledge and advice on medication-related issues.
  7. Educate patients and caregivers on proper medication use, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence.
  8. Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals, providing drug information and resolving medication-related problems.
  9. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of medication inventory, ensuring proper storage and handling of all medications.
  10. Maintain accurate and complete patient records, documenting all medication-related interventions and outcomes.
  11. Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to advance the field of pharmacy.
  13. Mentor and supervise pharmacy students and residents, providing guidance and support in their learning and development.
  14. Adhere to ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
  15. Embrace a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, attending conferences and continuing education opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharmd) Degree From An Accredited Pharmacy Program.

  • Active State Pharmacy License And Eligibility For Licensure In North Carolina.

  • Board Certification In Pharmacotherapy Or Ambulatory Care From A Recognized Pharmacy Specialty Board.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Pharmacy Experience In A Hospital Or Ambulatory Care Setting.

  • Strong Communication, Collaboration, And Problem-Solving Skills, With A Patient-Centered Approach To Care.
