
Clinical Dietitian
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Clinical Dietitian to join Duke University Health System in providing excellent patient care through evidence-based nutrition therapy. You will join a team of dedicated health care professionals in providing nutrition services to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nutrition and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Essential qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; a Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration; and experience in a clinical dietitian role. In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, outstanding organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition plans for a diverse patient population
• Provide one-on-one counseling to patients and families to improve dietary habits and promote health and wellness
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress to ensure successful outcomes
• Provide nutrition education and support to staff and community members
• Research and analyze new nutritional information to develop and update nutrition intervention plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and documents
• Create reports and presentations to communicate nutrition-related findings
• Remain up-to-date on the latest nutrition research and trends
