Job Description

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repair on a variety of medical equipment, including but not limited to: diagnostic imaging machines, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and respiratory equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
  3. Follow safety protocols and industry regulations while handling and working with sensitive medical equipment.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure that medical equipment is functioning properly and meets patient care needs.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in medical technology and equipment through ongoing training and education.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and order necessary equipment parts and supplies.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
  9. Adhere to budgetary guidelines and cost-saving measures when performing repairs and purchasing equipment.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the biomedical equipment program.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  13. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree Or Higher In Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Medical Equipment.

  • Knowledge Of Biomedical Equipment And Technology, Including Diagnostic And Troubleshooting Skills.

  • Strong Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Protocols For Handling Medical Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Effectively With Healthcare Staff And Patients.
