
Athletic Trainer
The Duke University Health System is looking for an experienced and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for helping athletes reach their goals and will be committed to providing world-class care. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field, a current Athletic Training certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC), and a minimum of one year of experience in a related field. Experience with NCAA Division I athletes is a plus. The successful candidate should also have strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as a comprehensive understanding of sport-specific injury management and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide world-class care to athletes to help them reach their goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for athletes.
- Maintain records of athletes' health and treatment plans.
- Monitor athletes' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate athletes and their families on injury prevention and sport-specific safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for athletes.
- Administer emergency medical care as needed.
- Assist with game day medical coverage and coverage of practices and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
