
Assistant Nurse Manager - Pediatric ICU

- Oversee the daily operations of the Pediatric ICU department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of skilled nurses and physicians.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing coaching and feedback to promote professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high-quality standards of care.
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
- Monitor and manage department budget and resources to ensure optimal utilization.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any concerns or issues.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and department activities.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in pediatric nursing, incorporating them into the department's practices.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for the department.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for staff and patients.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing And Current Rn License In The State Of North Carolina.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Icu Or Critical Care Nursing.
Prior Leadership Or Management Experience, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Pediatric Critical Care Protocols, Procedures, And Equipment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
