In this role, you will have the opportunity to support and lead a team of nurses in providing specialized care to patients undergoing treatment for blood cancer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing with a focus on blood cancer, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.   1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Blood Cancer Treatment Room and ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
  2. Provide leadership, support, and guidance to the nursing team in the Blood Cancer Treatment Room.
  3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with blood cancer.
  4. Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, and make necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.
  5. Educate patients and their families about blood cancer, treatment options, and side effects to promote understanding and self-management.
  6. Ensure that all nursing care provided in the Blood Cancer Treatment Room is in accordance with established protocols, standards, and guidelines.
  7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
  8. Conduct regular performance evaluations of nursing staff and provide feedback and coaching to support their professional development.
  9. Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff for the Blood Cancer Treatment Room.
  10. Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the quality of care in the Blood Cancer Treatment Room.
  11. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff, following infection control and safety protocols.
  12. Serve as a resource and liaison for patients, families, and healthcare professionals, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and systems in the Blood Cancer Treatment Room to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  14. Stay current with advancements and best practices in oncology nursing, specifically related to blood cancer treatments.
  15. Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and excellence in patient care within the Blood Cancer Treatment Room.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of North Carolina.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Clinical Experience In Oncology Or Hematology Nursing.

  • Previous Management Or Leadership Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills.
