Job Description

The Duke University Health System is looking for an Advanced Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of our patients. The successful candidate will provide advanced respiratory patient care services including assessments, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited college or university, as well as a valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care. Additionally, a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desired. We’re looking for a team player who is passionate about providing excellent patient care, as well as someone who works well in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other health care professionals is key to success in this role. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide advanced respiratory patient care services including assessments, treatments, and diagnostic procedures.
  2. Maintain valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  3. Utilize their knowledge, skills, and experience to provide outstanding patient care.
  4. Communicate effectively with other health care professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
  5. Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  6. Work independently as well as collaboratively with other health care professionals in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  8. Document patient care services accurately and efficiently.

  • Graduate Of An Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

  • Licensed As A Respiratory Care Practitioner In The State Of North Carolina

  • Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience As A Respiratory Care Practitioner In A Critical Care Setting

  • Certified Or Eligible For Certification By The National Board Of Respiratory Care

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification
