- Operate nuclear power plant equipment and systems in accordance with established procedures and regulations to ensure safe and efficient production of electricity.
- Monitor and analyze plant operating conditions, report abnormalities, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct periodic safety checks and inspections to identify potential hazards and maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs and records of plant operations, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
- Participate in emergency drills and respond to emergency situations as per established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate plant performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and promote continuous learning.
- Foster a culture of safety and professionalism by adhering to all safety procedures and promoting safe work practices.
- Train and mentor new team members as needed.
- Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and customer service in all interactions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to improve plant operations.
- Uphold the company's values and promote a positive image of Duke Energy.
Associate's Degree In Nuclear Engineering Technology Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience Working In A Nuclear Power Plant Or Related Industry.
Knowledge Of Nuclear Power Plant Operations And Regulations.
Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills.
Ability To Work In A Team Environment And Communicate Effectively With All Levels Of Personnel.
