We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Engineer III or Senior Nuclear Engineer with a specialization in Electrical Design to join our team at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant.   1. Conduct electrical design analyses for the Brunswick Nuclear Plant to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  2. Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations related to electrical design.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement improvements to electrical systems.
  4. Perform regular inspections and tests on electrical equipment to identify and address potential issues.
  5. Develop and maintain procedures and protocols for electrical design processes.
  6. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to electrical design in the nuclear industry.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments as needed.
  9. Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  10. Maintain accurate documentation and records of all electrical design activities.
  11. Train and mentor junior engineers to support their professional development.
  12. Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and any potential issues.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in electrical design.
  15. Represent Duke Energy in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Electrical Design For Nuclear Power Plants.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Nuclear Power Plant Systems, Equipment, And Regulations.

  • Advanced Understanding Of Electrical Engineering Principles And Their Application In The Nuclear Industry.

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
