  1. Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent for the organization.
  2. Serve as a key point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to employees.
  3. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and create effective recruitment and onboarding processes.
  4. Conduct interviews and assist with the selection and hiring process.
  5. Manage all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and exit interviews.
  6. Develop and implement training programs to support the professional development of employees.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  8. Proactively identify and address employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
  9. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR to continuously improve processes and policies.
  11. Support performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and employee development plans.
  12. Collaborate with the HR team on various projects and initiatives to support the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  14. Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance HR processes and procedures.
  15. Stay current on all HR laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate risk for the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Or A Related Field: A Human Resources Specialist At Douglas Elliman Should Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field To Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Hr Principles And Practices.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Human Resources, Preferably In A Real Estate Or Property Management Setting. This Experience Will Ensure They Have A Good Understanding Of The Specific Hr Needs And Challenges In The Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations: A Human Resources Specialist At Douglas Elliman Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Employment Laws And Regulations To Ensure Compliance In All Hr Practices And Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Human Resources Specialist, This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Employees, Managers, And External Stakeholders. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Convey Information, Resolve Conflicts, And Build Relationships.

  • Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills: Hr Processes Can Be Complex And Involve Handling Sensitive Information.
