Job Description

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and helping our organization thrive. We are looking for someone who is passionate about human resources, has a strong understanding of employment laws, and is able to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost professionalism.   1. Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures in accordance with company goals and objectives.
  2. Manage and oversee all aspects of the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  3. Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses.
  4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  5. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address any potential HR issues or concerns.
  6. Facilitate employee training and development programs to enhance skills and promote career growth.
  7. Collaborate with department managers to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on best practices.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and confidential information.
  9. Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
  10. Proactively identify and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and retention.
  11. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in human resources, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  12. Serve as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring effective communication and fostering a positive work environment.
  13. Participate in the recruitment process by screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  14. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  15. Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and implement company-wide HR initiatives and projects.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Or Related Field: A Degree In Human Resources Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For Entry-Level Hr Positions, And Demonstrates A Foundational Knowledge Of Hr Principles And Practices.

  • Professional Hr Certification: Many Employers Prefer Candidates With A Professional Hr Certification, Such As Shrm-Cp Or Phr, Which Further Validates A Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.

  • Experience In Recruitment And Selection: Hr Specialists At Douglas Elliman Will Be Responsible For Recruiting And Selecting Top Talent, So Experience In This Area Is Crucial. This May Include Conducting Interviews, Creating Job Descriptions, And Using Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Knowledge Of Employment Laws And Regulations: Hr Specialists Must Have A Solid Understanding Of Federal And State Employment Laws, Such As The Fair Labor Standards Act And Title Vii Of The Civil Rights Act, To Ensure Compliance And Avoid Legal Issues.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Human Resources Is A People-Oriented Field, So It's Important For Candidates To Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
