High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Store Clerk Job At Dollar General Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, Such As A Ged.
Customer Service Experience: Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Essential For A Store Clerk At Dollar General. Previous Experience In A Retail Or Customer Service Role Is Preferred.
Cash Handling Experience: Store Clerks At Dollar General Are Responsible For Handling Cash And Credit Transactions, Making Change, And Balancing Registers. Previous Cash Handling Experience Is A Plus.
Basic Math And Computer Skills: Store Clerks Must Be Able To Perform Basic Math Calculations And Operate A Computerized Cash Register System. Proficiency In Using A Computer And Basic Knowledge Of Microsoft Office Programs May Also Be Required.
