  1. Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a positive and friendly first impression.
  2. Assist customers in locating and selecting products, providing product knowledge and recommendations as needed.
  3. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels, restocking shelves and notifying management of low stock.
  5. Train and supervise sales associates, ensuring they are providing exceptional customer service and meeting sales goals.
  6. Lead by example, demonstrating excellent sales techniques and customer service skills.
  7. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner, resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring all products are properly displayed and priced.
  9. Assist in receiving and stocking shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper product placement.
  10. Utilize sales data and reports to identify trends and opportunities to increase sales.
  11. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to effectively communicate with customers and drive sales.
  12. Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and security measures.
  13. Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to meet sales goals.
  14. Mentor and train new sales associates, providing guidance and support to help them succeed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Sales Experience: A Lead Sales Associate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Role, Preferably In A Leadership Or Supervisory Position. This Demonstrates Their Understanding Of Sales Techniques And Ability To Manage A Team.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Lead Sales Associate, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Customers, As Well As Training And Guiding Other Sales Associates. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential.

  • Proven Leadership Abilities: The Lead Sales Associate Will Be Responsible For Supervising And Motivating A Team Of Sales Associates. They Should Have A Track Record Of Being An Effective Leader, With The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Knowledge Of Products And Services: Dollar General Offers A Wide Range Of Products, And A Lead Sales Associate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Products And Services Offered. This Will Enable Them To Assist Customers In Making Informed Purchasing Decisions And Train Other Sales Associates On Product Knowledge.

  • Ability To Meet Sales Targets And Drive Revenue: The Primary Goal Of A Lead Sales Associate Is To Increase Sales And Drive Revenue For The Store. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Meeting And Exceeding Sales Targets, As Well As The Ability To Analyze Sales Data And Implement Strategies To Improve Sales Performance.
