Job Description

At Dollar General, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Reconciliation Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately tracking and reconciling inventory levels to ensure the smooth operation of our retail stores.   1. Accurately track inventory levels: The primary responsibility of the Inventory Reconciliation Analyst is to ensure that all inventory levels are accurately tracked and accounted for in our retail stores.
  2. Reconcile inventory data: The Analyst will be responsible for comparing and reconciling inventory data from different sources to identify any discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
  3. Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies: The Analyst will be responsible for identifying any discrepancies in inventory levels and conducting investigations to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.
  4. Maintain accurate inventory records: The Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including product descriptions, quantities, and locations.
  5. Collaborate with store teams: The Analyst will work closely with store managers and teams to ensure that all inventory processes are being followed accurately and efficiently.
  6. Analyze inventory data: The Analyst will use analytical skills to analyze inventory data and identify trends and patterns to improve inventory management processes.
  7. Create reports: The Analyst will create reports and presentations to communicate inventory data and trends to management and provide recommendations for improvement.
  8. Implement inventory management best practices: The Analyst will be responsible for implementing inventory management best practices to ensure efficient and accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation.
  9. Monitor inventory levels: The Analyst will regularly monitor inventory levels to ensure that they are maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand.
  10. Continuously improve inventory processes: The Analyst will be responsible for continuously evaluating and improving inventory processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Train and onboard new team members: The Analyst will be responsible for training and onboarding new team members on inventory processes and systems.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures: The Analyst will be expected to follow all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and reconciliation.
  13. Support company goals and mission: The Analyst will play a key role in supporting the company's mission to provide affordable and convenient shopping experiences to our customers.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Inventory Management Or Reconciliation

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Inventory Management Software

  • Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Work With Large Volumes Of Data.
