  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet safety program that aligns with company policies and regulatory standards.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  3. Train and educate fleet employees on safe driving practices and company safety policies.
  4. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and equipped with necessary safety features.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and make necessary adjustments to the safety program as needed.
  7. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventative measures.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  9. Communicate safety policies, procedures, and updates to all fleet employees.
  10. Develop and maintain safety performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program.
  11. Conduct regular safety meetings and provide coaching and feedback to fleet employees.
  12. Manage and maintain all safety-related documentation and records.
  13. Collaborate with the HR department to ensure all fleet employees are properly trained and certified.
  14. Develop emergency response protocols and procedures for fleet incidents.
  15. Participate in the selection and procurement of new fleet vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards.
  16. Monitor and manage the budget for fleet safety initiatives.
  17. Serve as the main point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns from fleet employees.
  18. Continuously strive to improve safety culture and promote a safe work environment for all fleet employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Fleet Safety Regulations: A Fleet Safety Supervisor At Dollar General Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of All Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Fleet Safety, Including Dot Regulations And Osha Standards.

  • Experience In Fleet Management: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Managing And Overseeing Fleet Operations, Including Maintenance, Driver Training, And Compliance.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial For A Fleet Safety Supervisor, As They Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing Safety Protocols And Policies, Conducting Employee Training, And Communicating With Drivers, Managers, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Attention To Detail: A Keen Eye For Detail Is Essential In This Role, As The Fleet Safety Supervisor Will Be Responsible For Conducting Safety Audits, Analyzing Data, And Identifying Potential Hazards Or Risks.

  • Leadership And Training Abilities: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Train And Mentor A Team Of Drivers And Other Fleet Personnel. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Safety Training Programs.
