Experience In Fleet Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Managing A Fleet Of Vehicles, Preferably In A Retail Or Logistics Setting. They Should Be Familiar With Maintaining And Tracking Vehicle Maintenance Records, Ensuring Compliance With Safety Regulations, And Overseeing Vehicle Inspections.
Knowledge Of Dot Regulations: A Fleet Safety Supervisor At Dollar General Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Department Of Transportation (Dot) Regulations, Including Hours-Of-Service Rules, Drug And Alcohol Testing Requirements, And Vehicle Weight Restrictions. They Should Also Be Familiar With State-Specific Regulations Pertaining To Commercial Vehicles.
