As a Field Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting training and audits, and promoting a culture of safety within our organization.   1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of employees and customers in all Dollar General stores nationwide.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Train and educate employees on safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  4. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  5. Collaborate with store managers and regional teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure consistent implementation of safety measures.
  6. Provide guidance and support to store teams in responding to safety concerns and incidents.
  7. Stay updated on industry safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for improvement.
  8. Conduct investigations into safety incidents and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local safety regulators and agencies.
  10. Manage and maintain safety records and reports for all stores in the region.
  11. Lead safety meetings and trainings for employees at all levels of the organization.
  12. Identify and implement cost-effective safety solutions to reduce workplace injuries and accidents.
  13. Communicate safety updates and initiatives to senior management and collaborate on company-wide safety initiatives.
  14. Serve as a role model for safety by adhering to all safety protocols and promoting a safety-first mindset.
  15. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development for safety team members.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Osha Regulations: A Field Safety Manager At Dollar General Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Osha Regulations And Be Able To Ensure Compliance At All Times.

  • Experience In Retail Safety Management: Candidates For This Position Should Have Prior Experience In Safety Management Within The Retail Industry, Preferably In A Similar Type Of Company Like Dollar General.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Safety-Related Issues, A Field Safety Manager Should Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Safety Protocols And Procedures To Employees And Management.

  • Leadership And Problem-Solving Abilities: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Train And Motivate Employees To Follow Safety Protocols. Additionally, The Field Safety Manager Should Have The Ability To Identify Potential Safety Hazards And Implement Effective Solutions.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or Related Field: A Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field, Is Typically Required For This Position To Demonstrate A Solid Understanding Of Safety Principles And Practices.
