Job Description

As the Facilities Maintenance Manager at Dollar General, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall appearance of our stores.   1. Oversee all aspects of facilities maintenance for Dollar General stores, including repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the safety and functionality of all store facilities.
  3. Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work.
  4. Conduct regular inspections of store facilities to identify and address any issues or potential hazards.
  5. Coordinate with store managers and district managers to prioritize maintenance needs and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, expenses, and inventory.
  7. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to obtain bids and oversee projects within budget and timeline constraints.
  8. Identify and implement cost-saving measures, such as energy-efficient solutions and inventory management strategies.
  9. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and provide solutions to minimize disruption to store operations.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the maintenance team.
  13. Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on maintenance activities and any potential issues.
