As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in assisting the Store Manager with the daily operations of our store.   1. Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store.
  2. Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and stocked with products at all times.
  3. Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all customers are greeted and assisted in a friendly and professional manner.
  4. Train and supervise store employees to ensure that they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
  5. Be knowledgeable about the store's products and services and provide guidance to customers and employees.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and place orders for products when needed.
  7. Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
  8. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed by employees.
  9. Assist in creating and implementing strategies to increase sales and meet store targets.
  10. Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
  11. Assist with scheduling and payroll for employees.
  12. Maintain a positive and motivating work environment for all team members.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement new processes to enhance store operations.
  14. Adhere to budget guidelines and assist in managing store expenses.
  15. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement training programs for employees.
  16. Take on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Retail Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably In A Similar Store Format.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Assistant Store Manager Will Be Responsible For Supervising And Training A Team Of Associates, So It Is Important For Them To Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As The Assistant Store Manager, This Individual Will Be Interacting With Customers, Employees, And Upper Management On A Daily Basis. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate And Build Relationships With Others.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management And Merchandising: The Assistant Store Manager Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Inventory Management And Ensuring The Store Is Properly Stocked And Merchandised. Having Prior Knowledge And Experience In These Areas Will Be Beneficial.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Dollar General Stores Are Known For Their High Volume Of Customers And Fast-Paced Work Environment. The Assistant Store Manager Should Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Environment And Be Able To Multitask And Prioritize Effectively.
