- Handle cash management and perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and improvement of store operations.
Experience In Retail Management: A Successful Assistant Store Manager At Dollar General Should Have Prior Experience In A Retail Management Role, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Will Demonstrate The Ability To Handle Various Tasks, Manage A Team, And Meet Sales Targets.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Assistant Store Manager Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Employees. They Must Be Able To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Support, And Resolve Conflicts In A Professional Manner.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact Between Upper Management, Employees, And Customers, The Assistant Store Manager Must Have Strong Communication Skills. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively In Person, Over The Phone, And Through Written Communication.
