  1. Provide legal counsel and guidance on cybersecurity laws and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  2. Advise and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and compliance, to develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  3. Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on evolving cybersecurity laws and regulations and provide proactive recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
  4. Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to cybersecurity, including vendor agreements and data protection agreements.
  5. Lead and manage legal aspects of cybersecurity incidents, including breach response and remediation efforts.
  6. Develop and deliver training and educational programs for employees on cybersecurity laws, regulations, and best practices.
  7. Represent the company in legal proceedings related to cybersecurity, including regulatory investigations and litigation.
  8. Collaborate with external legal counsel to ensure comprehensive and effective legal support for cybersecurity matters.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and developments related to cybersecurity and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment on cybersecurity strategies and initiatives.
  11. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior legal team members on cybersecurity matters.
  12. Conduct risk assessments and advise on risk management strategies to protect the company and its customers from cyber threats.
  13. Participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  14. Collaborate with internal audit teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  15. Uphold the company's ethical and legal standards and act as a role model for ethical behavior in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Law: A Sr. Legal Counsel, Cybersecurity At Docusign Should Have A Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School, With A Strong Academic Record.

  • Expertise In Cybersecurity: A Sr. Legal Counsel, Cybersecurity Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Cybersecurity, With A Deep Understanding Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards.

  • Legal Experience In Technology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In The Technology Industry, With A Strong Background In Data Privacy, Information Security, And Technology Transactions.

  • Experience In Risk Management: A Sr. Legal Counsel, Cybersecurity At Docusign Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Principles And Be Able To Identify And Mitigate Potential Legal Risks Related To Cybersecurity.
