  1. Accurate and Timely Processing of Payroll: The primary responsibility of the Payroll Specialist will be to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This will involve handling various tasks such as calculating hours worked, processing paychecks, and ensuring all payroll information is up to date and accurate.
  2. Attention to Detail: The Payroll Specialist must have a strong attention to detail to ensure all payroll information is accurate and free of errors. They must carefully review all data and documents to ensure accuracy and report any discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
  3. Compliance with Policies and Regulations: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all payroll processes and systems are in compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. This will include staying up to date on any changes to payroll laws and regulations and implementing necessary updates to processes.
  4. Communication and Collaboration: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for communicating with various departments and employees to collect and verify payroll information. They must have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with team members to ensure all payroll tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  5. Record-Keeping and Data Management: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized payroll records and data. This will include creating and maintaining employee files, tracking payroll data, and ensuring all records are up to date and easily accessible.
  6. Problem Solving: The Payroll Specialist must be able to identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the payroll process. This may involve working with other team members to resolve problems and find solutions to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  7. Confidentiality: The Payroll Specialist will handle sensitive employee information and must maintain confidentiality at all times. They must adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding data privacy and security.
  8. Ad Hoc Tasks: The Payroll Specialist may be assigned ad hoc tasks related to payroll or other HR functions as needed. They must be able to prioritize and manage their workload

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Payroll Processing And Tax Compliance.

  • Proficiency In Using Payroll Software Such As Adp, Kronos, Or Workday.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Payroll Laws And Regulations.

  • Excellent Attention To Detail, Organizational Skills, And Ability To Meet Tight Deadlines.
