Innovation Scientist - Microbiology
Perform a key role in identifying, sourcing, and testing advanced formulations and technology solutions in alignment with corporate strategic initiatives. Understanding standardized microbiology test methods and analytical tests used to characterize chemical products. Participate in road mapping across market sectors. Support product registrations by performing microbial efficacy testing. Coordinates third-party registration testing. Partner with multiple divisions including Supply Chain, RD&E, Sales, and Portfolio Management. Manage lab area and resources necessary to conduct product testing. Manage experiments in the microbiology lab. Maintain laboratory to 5S. Remain current on knowledge of aseptic microbiology lab equipment.
3+ years of related experience working with cleaning and antimicrobial chemistry, materials used in industrial and institutional cleaning products
Prior experience working with experimental techniques, particularly antimicrobial efficacy assays.
Has a working understanding of the processes and timing of patent work in the United States
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage ambiguity, yet producing tangible results
