As a Dock and Housekeeping Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our store by maintaining a clean and organized dock area, as well as keeping our sales floor and backroom areas tidy and well-stocked.   1. Maintain a clean, organized and safe dock area by regularly sweeping, mopping and removing debris.
  2. Manage all incoming and outgoing merchandise, ensuring proper documentation and handling procedures are followed.
  3. Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management.
  4. Collaborate with sales associates to ensure timely restocking of merchandise on the sales floor.
  5. Maintain an organized and well-stocked backroom by properly sorting and storing merchandise.
  6. Follow company policies and procedures for handling and disposing of damaged or defective merchandise.
  7. Assist with unloading and loading of trucks and deliveries.
  8. Keep track of all incoming and outgoing packages and ensure they are properly labeled and distributed.
  9. Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure a clean and orderly sales floor at all times.
  10. Respond promptly to any customer inquiries or requests for assistance.
  11. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  12. Maintain a positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  13. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  14. Cross-train and assist in other areas of the store as needed.
  15. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Housekeeping: Candidates For This Role Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In Housekeeping, Preferably In A Retail Or Hospitality Setting.

  • Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Objects: As A Dock And Housekeeping Associate, This Person Will Be Responsible For Moving And Organizing Items In The Stockroom And On The Sales Floor. They Should Be Able To Lift And Carry Items Up To 50 Pounds.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Organization And Attention To Detail. The Dock And Housekeeping Associate Must Be Able To Accurately Track And Maintain Inventory Levels And Ensure That All Areas Of The Store Are Clean And Well-Maintained.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As Part Of A Team, The Dock And Housekeeping Associate Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Other Associates And Managers. They May Also Need To Assist Customers On The Sales Floor, So Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: The Retail Industry Can Be Fast-Paced And Unpredictable, So Candidates For This Role Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Priorities And Tasks. They Should Also Be Willing To Work A Flexible Schedule, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays.
