Apparel Technical Designer

1. Collaborate with designers and product development team to create technical sketches and detailed specifications for apparel designs.
2. Ensure that all garments meet quality and fit standards through thorough review and measurement of samples.
3. Identify and troubleshoot any potential fit or construction issues during the design and development process.
4. Communicate with overseas factories and vendors to ensure accurate understanding and execution of design specifications.
5. Conduct fit sessions and provide detailed feedback and recommendations to designers and patternmakers.
6. Utilize knowledge of fabric and construction techniques to make recommendations for improving garment quality and fit.
7. Analyze and approve lab dips, strike-offs, and other fabric and trim submissions.
8. Work closely with patternmakers to develop and refine garment patterns.
9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations in garment construction and fit.
10. Act as a liaison between design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of final products.
11. Participate in fittings and provide input on fit and construction adjustments.
12. Maintain organized records and documentation of all garment specifications and revisions.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any production or quality issues.
14. Continuously strive to improve and maintain the highest level of quality in all garments produced.
15. Mentor and train junior technical designers as needed.
