Security Officer

We are looking for a talented and motivated Security Officer to join the Dignity Health team. The Security Officer is a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure hospital environment for staff, patients, and visitors.To be successful in this role, you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a valid security license if required in the state of employment. You must also have knowledge of security procedures, safety protocols, and surveillance techniques. Additionally, you must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to enforce security protocols in a professional and courteous manner. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to think quickly, remain calm under pressure, and have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the security and safety of staff, patients, and visitors by enforcing security protocols and procedures.
2. Monitor the facility for suspicious activities and respond to potential threats.
3. Operate surveillance equipment and maintain detailed logs of activities.
4. Investigate incidents, accidents, and thefts as needed.
5. Escort visitors and staff as needed.
6. Provide assistance to the public in a friendly and professional manner.
7. Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
8. Handle emergency situations in a calm and efficient manner.
9. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
10. Maintain professional and courteous relationships with staff, visitors, and patients.
