
Clinical Dietitian
At Dignity Health, we are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Clinical Dietitian to join our team. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based nutrition care and education to patients of all ages and backgrounds in accordance with our hospital's standards. The Clinical Dietitian will be responsible for developing individualized nutritional care plans, assessing patient health, and monitoring patient progress.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field, as well as a minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate should be familiar with nutrition assessment techniques and care plans, as well as nutrition education strategies. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role, as the Clinical Dietitian will be working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Above all, the successful candidate should be dedicated to providing quality nutrition care and services to all Dignity Health patients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop individualized nutritional care plans and assess patient health.
- Monitor patient progress and provide evidence-based nutrition care and education to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Utilize nutrition assessment techniques and care plans, as well as nutrition education strategies.
- Liaise with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality nutrition care and services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nutrition-related topics and ensure adherence to Dignity Health standards.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care and nutrition education services.
- Create nutrition education materials and handouts for patients.
- Participate in staff meetings and other professional development activities.
