- Develop and implement company-wide environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee and manage all EHS programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance and adherence to local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective safety training programs for employees.
- Maintain and update all EHS records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
- Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies, maintaining a thorough understanding of all EHS laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to ensure a rapid and effective response in the event of an emergency or incident.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, identifying trends and implementing corrective and preventative measures.
- Monitor and report on key EHS performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management on progress and areas for improvement.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in EHS management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among employees, encouraging them to take an active role in EHS initiatives.
- Manage and oversee the budget for EHS programs and initiatives, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard evaluations to identify potential risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Act as a subject matter expert on EHS matters, providing guidance and support to all levels of the organization.
- Champion sustainability initiatives and drive a culture of environmental responsibility within the company.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In The Field Of Ehs Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Production Environment.
Extensive Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental, Health, And Safety Regulations.
Strong Leadership Skills With The Ability To Effectively Train And Manage A Team Of Ehs Professionals.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Implement Ehs Programs And Initiatives Across Multiple Departments And Locations.
