Welcome to Denny's! We are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern. Responsibilities for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Intern role include:

  1. Collaborate with various departments to assist in the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  2. Conduct research and gather data to support diversity and inclusion efforts.
  3. Analyze company policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement in regards to diversity and inclusion.
  4. Assist in creating training materials and resources to educate employees on diversity and inclusion topics.
  5. Coordinate and participate in diversity and inclusion events and activities.
  6. Act as a resource for employees, providing support and guidance on diversity and inclusion issues.
  7. Help create and maintain a diverse and inclusive work environment by promoting awareness and understanding.
  8. Attend meetings and training sessions related to diversity and inclusion to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.
  9. Collaborate with external organizations and community partners to promote diversity and inclusion efforts.
  10. Create and distribute communications, such as newsletters or social media posts, to raise awareness of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  11. Maintain accurate records and track progress of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  12. Identify and propose new ideas and strategies to further promote diversity and inclusion within the company.
  13. Uphold the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion in all interactions and decision-making processes.
  14. Continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion programs and suggest improvements.
  15. Act as a role model for diversity and inclusion by demonstrating inclusive behaviors and attitudes.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Diversity And Inclusion Principles And Practices: A Strong Understanding Of Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Principles And Practices Is Essential For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Familiar With Concepts Such As Implicit Bias, Cultural Competence, And Intersectionality.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Intern, The Candidate Will Be Required To Interact With Employees At All Levels Of The Organization. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial To Effectively Collaborate And Engage With Diverse Individuals.

  • Familiarity With Relevant Laws And Regulations: Denny's Is Committed To Creating An Inclusive And Equitable Workplace, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Relevant Laws And Regulations, Such As Eeoc Guidelines And Title Vii, To Ensure Compliance And Promote Fairness And Equality.

  • Ability To Analyze Data And Identify Trends: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills And Be Able To Analyze Data Related To Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Initiatives. This Will Help In Identifying Trends And Areas For Improvement Within The Organization.

  • Passion For Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Genuine Passion For Promoting Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion In The Workplace. This Role Requires A Strong Commitment To Creating A Welcoming And Inclusive Environment For All Employees At Denny's.
