- Manage and oversee the disability and leave process for employees at Delta Air Lines.
- Work closely with employees and their managers to understand and assess their needs for accommodations during times of illness or injury.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on the company's disability and leave policies, procedures, and resources.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, and other departments within the company to ensure a smooth and efficient disability and leave process.
- Review and approve employee requests for disability and leave, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance carriers to obtain necessary documentation and information for disability and leave claims.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of employee disability and leave cases, including all relevant communication and documentation.
- Communicate regularly with employees on the status of their disability and leave requests, and provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their leave period.
- Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations of existing disability and leave processes and policies, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to disability and leave management, and ensure compliance within the company.
- Communicate and collaborate with other HR team members to ensure consistency and alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Attend trainings and workshops to continuously improve knowledge and skills in disability and leave management.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling sensitive and personal information related to employee disabilities and leaves.
- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and understanding when working with employees who are facing health challenges.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting equal opportunities and accommodations for employees with disabilities.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Managing Disability And Leave Programs In A Large Organization.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws Related To Disability And Leave Management, Including Fmla And Ada.
Strong Understanding Of Benefit Programs And Ability To Effectively Communicate And Educate Employees On Their Options.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Handle Sensitive And Confidential Information With Discretion.
