Job Description

Welcome to Delta Air Lines! We are currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Seasonal Ramp Agent at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). As a Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely arrival and departure of our flights, while providing exceptional customer service to our passengers. This is a fast-paced and physically demanding position, but it is also incredibly rewarding.   1. Safely and efficiently load and unload luggage, cargo, and mail onto aircrafts according to established procedures.
  2. Perform aircraft inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
  3. Operate ground service equipment such as tugs, trucks, and belt loaders to transport baggage and cargo.
  4. Communicate effectively with flight crew, ground crew, and other airport personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service to passengers by assisting with inquiries, directions, and luggage.
  6. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the ramp and baggage handling areas.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies and equipment.
  9. Assist in the de-icing of aircrafts during inclement weather.
  10. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.
  11. Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
  12. Continuously strive for personal and professional development to enhance job performance.
  13. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times while representing Delta Air Lines.
  14. Follow all security procedures and report any suspicious activities or potential threats.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, Demonstrating Basic Proficiency In Reading, Writing, And Math.

  • Physical Fitness: Ramp Agents Are Required To Perform Physically Demanding Tasks Such As Lifting And Loading Baggage, Operating Machinery, And Standing For Long Periods Of Time. Therefore, Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.

  • Customer Service Skills: As A Ramp Agent, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Therefore, It Is Important To Have Excellent Customer Service Skills, Including The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively, And Handle Difficult Situations With Professionalism And Courtesy.

  • Teamwork And Collaboration: The Role Of A Ramp Agent Requires Working Closely With A Team To Ensure The Smooth And Timely Handling Of Baggage And Cargo. Candidates Must Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment, Communicate Effectively, And Collaborate With Others To Achieve Common Goals.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Seasonal Ramp Agent, You Will Be Working In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment. This Requires The Ability To Adapt To Changing Situations, Work Under Pressure, And Adjust To Varying Work Schedules, Including Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays.
