Welcome to Delta Air Lines! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) to join our team at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the safe and efficient handling of our passengers' baggage and cargo.   1. Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Handle and process incoming and outgoing baggage and cargo with care and efficiency.
  3. Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures for the handling of baggage and cargo.
  4. Assist customers with their baggage and cargo needs, including answering questions and addressing any concerns.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the baggage and cargo handling equipment.
  6. Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members.
  7. Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  8. Prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  9. Provide excellent customer service, including actively resolving any customer issues or complaints.
  10. Collaborate with other team members to meet daily goals and ensure a smooth operation.
  11. Continuously learn and stay up-to-date on company procedures and policies.
  12. Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to baggage and cargo handling.
  13. Demonstrate a positive attitude and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  14. Proactively identify and report any safety hazards or concerns.
  15. Attend and actively participate in training and meetings as required.
  16. Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications

  • Teamwork: Working As A Ramp Agent Requires Strong Teamwork Skills As The Job Involves Collaborating With Other Agents, Ground Crew, And Pilots To Ensure The Safe And Efficient Operation Of Flights. The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment Is Essential For This Role.

  • Attention To Detail: Ramp Agents Are Responsible For Ensuring The Accurate And Timely Delivery Of Baggage And Cargo To The Correct Aircraft. A High Level Of Attention To Detail Is Necessary To Ensure That All Baggage And Cargo Is Properly Accounted For And Loaded Onto The Correct Flight. Applicants Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Work With Precision Under Pressure.
