
Principal Technology Development Engineer
Responsible for the execution of the Engineering technology development processes including investigation, solicitation, prioritization, maturation, and implementation. Accountable for the proper vetting, testing, and implementation of new technologies that promote improvements in safety, efficiency, and/or cost savings in the Delta operation. Works hands on and collaboratively with stakeholders across the Delta operation to implement new technologies in support of defined Technology Development vision and strategy. Partners corporate, academic, governmental, and industry resources to further technology programs’ goals. Manages designated technology/engineering projects, ensuring continued progress and keeping a project on schedule. Technical leader and recognized as expert on select technologies, systems, and procedures.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Aerospace/Mechanical design/development, manufacturing, or operations role
Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to creatively solve for obstacles encountered.
Experience in Smartsheet, or similar project management software highly preferred.
Experience with Airline, Aviation OEM or MRO.
