- Monitor and analyze safety data to identify potential risks and implement proactive measures to ensure the safety of pilots and passengers.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with various departments within the airline to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Serve as a point of contact for pilots and other staff members regarding safety concerns and provide timely and effective resolutions.
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and other relevant topics to pilots and other employees.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards related to aviation safety and make recommendations for improvements to current safety protocols.
- Conduct investigations into safety incidents and accidents and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and participate in safety-related meetings and conferences.
- Keep accurate records and reports of safety-related incidents, inspections, and audits.
- Foster a culture of safety and promote safety consciousness among all employees.
- Collaborate with other safety representatives within the airline industry to share best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously assess and improve safety processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety for pilots and passengers.
- Serve as a safety advocate and representative for Delta Air Lines at industry events and conferences.
- Work closely with the safety and risk management team to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills and exercises to test their effectiveness.
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and work with relevant departments to mitigate risks.
Faa Certification: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Valid Faa Certification As A Commercial Pilot Or Airline Transport Pilot.
Extensive Aviation Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Pilot With A Major Airline Is Preferred, With A Strong Understanding Of Aviation Safety Regulations And Procedures.
Safety Training: The Candidate Should Have Completed Relevant Safety Training Courses, Such As Safety Management Systems (Sms) And Crew Resource Management (Crm).
Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Pilot Safety Representative Will Be Responsible For Communicating Safety Information To Pilots And Other Staff Members.
Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Identify Potential Safety Hazards And Risks In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
