
Ground Maintenance Mechanic (Stationary) - JFK

- Conduct routine inspections of aircrafts to ensure they are in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on ground equipment, including but not limited to engines, landing gear, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues on aircrafts and ground equipment.
- Utilize technical manuals and diagrams to effectively repair and maintain aircrafts and ground equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
- Communicate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels of necessary parts and equipment and report any shortages or issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working on aircrafts and ground equipment.
- Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures.
- Attend training and development courses to stay updated on new techniques and technologies in the aviation industry.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Remain knowledgeable of all FAA regulations and ensure compliance at all times.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Is Typically Required For A Ground Maintenance Mechanic (Stationary) Position At Delta Air Lines. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Reading And Writing Skills To Understand Technical Manuals And Safety Procedures.
Faa Airframe And Powerplant (A&P) License: The Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Requires All Aircraft Maintenance Technicians To Have An A&P License.
