  1. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on ground equipment such as baggage carts, tugs, and aircraft stairs.
  2. Conduct pre- and post-flight inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  3. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of ground equipment.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
  6. Communicate effectively with other team members, superiors, and airport personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  7. Monitor and order necessary supplies and parts to maintain an adequate inventory for repairs.
  8. Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
  9. Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to service calls and requests.
  11. Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  12. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve equipment maintenance processes.
  13. Follow all federal, state, and company regulations and guidelines for equipment maintenance and repair.
  14. Mentor and train new maintenance technicians to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  15. Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Qualification Is Essential For A Ground Maintenance Mechanic (Stationary) At Delta Air Lines. This Ensures A Minimum Level Of Knowledge And Understanding In Areas Such As Mathematics, Science, And Technical Skills.
