
Ground Maintenance Mechanic (Motorized) - ATL

- Perform routine maintenance on ground support equipment, including but not limited to baggage carts, tugs, and pushback tractors.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on equipment to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues.
- Repair and replace damaged or malfunctioning parts, following manufacturer's specifications and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including documenting any parts used and time spent on each task.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and to share knowledge and expertise.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and well-stocked maintenance shop, including ordering necessary supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and wearing appropriate protective gear.
- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in equipment and technology to continuously improve maintenance processes.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize repairs.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by following company policies and procedures and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Experience In Vehicle And Equipment Maintenance: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Maintaining And Repairing Various Types Of Vehicles And Equipment, Such As Lawn Mowers, Tractors, And Forklifts.
Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures Related To The Maintenance And Operation Of Motorized Equipment.
Technical Skills: A Strong Understanding Of Mechanical Systems And The Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Issues With Motorized Equipment Is Essential. Candidates Should Also Have Experience With Electrical And Hydraulic Systems.
Familiarity With Aviation Industry Regulations: As A Ground Maintenance Mechanic At Delta Air Lines, Candidates Must Have Knowledge Of The Federal Aviation Administration (Faa) Regulations And Standards Related To Aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
