  1. Operate and command flights as a Duty Pilot, ensuring the safety and efficiency of Delta Air Lines' flights.
  2. Provide on-call support and guidance to flight crews, including troubleshooting and decision-making in emergency situations.
  3. Maintain a high standard of excellence in all aspects of flight operations, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  4. Possess and maintain a valid ATP certificate, demonstrating a high level of proficiency and knowledge in aircraft operation.
  5. Utilize extensive flight experience to effectively handle various flight scenarios and challenges.
  6. Communicate effectively with flight crews, air traffic control, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth and safe flight operations.
  7. Adhere to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and guidelines, as well as Delta Air Lines' safety standards.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the FOS team to continuously improve and enhance flight operations processes.
  9. Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and accountability for the safety and well-being of passengers and crew members.
  10. Embody the Delta Air Lines brand and company culture, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot (Atp) Certificate: The Duty Pilot Must Hold A Valid Atp Certificate Issued By The Federal Aviation Administration (Faa). This Certificate Is The Highest Level Of Pilot Certification And Demonstrates The Pilot's Knowledge, Skills, And Experience In Operating Large Commercial Aircraft.

  • Type Rating: The Duty Pilot Must Have A Type Rating For The Specific Aircraft Operated By Delta Air Lines. This Means That The Pilot Has Completed Additional Training And Has Been Tested On The Specific Make And Model Of Aircraft.

  • Flight Experience: The Duty Pilot Must Have A Minimum Number Of Flight Hours, As Mandated By The Faa, To Qualify For The Position. This Ensures That The Pilot Has Sufficient Experience To Handle The Demands Of The Job.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Duty Pilot, One Must Have Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage The Flight Crew And Ensure The Safe Operation Of The Aircraft. This Includes The Ability To Make Quick And Decisive Decisions In Emergency Situations.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Duty Pilot Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Air Traffic Control, Crew Members, And Passengers. This Also Includes The Ability To Give Clear And Concise Instructions To The Flight Crew During Critical Phases Of Flight.
